Be forewarned there are a few graphics (not many, just some blurry legs in the background, and proof that Ivan is, indeed, a boy)

We had not intended to take many photos during labor and delivery, and we didn’t take many (I did not want photos, I wanted to experience it, plus – yuck), and you’ll notice that no photos were taken until I’m sitting IN a bed resting – this was almost 10 hrs after my water broke, and after 8 hrs of psychotic, unmedicated labor. Then there’s another 4-5 hour chunk of time without photos when things got intense again towards the end. I’m grateful Mike and my mom grabbed some photos in the calmer moments. I didn’t do much editing to these photos, as I want to remember it for what it was – I was a swollen mess and hadn’t showered or done my hair, Ivan was super pink, and for days he had a wicked bad rash (which we were told by nurses and the pediatrician that it was actually fairly unremarkable in the world of new baby rashes.)
This is a fairly uneventful, 2 minute video of Ivan looking out the window (1st time parents, anyone?). You have been warned.
